Sampath Bank ID card Project

ABSL supplied the Sampath Bank ID card which consist of latest technology for their employee ID cards. Cards are printed on both sides with a QR code which carries the personal data of the employees. With a watermark on Back the card has been carefully designed to prevent any frauds or duplicates. The Bank is able to use the card for various applications which would save cost and time also could ensure security . Currently the large buildings and also Financial Institutes located in the heart of the Colombo City are more concerned about ensuring security of employees as well as buildings. With the card Bank should be able to deploy a security system with access controlling with modern state of the art technology in future. This card also can be used for multiple other application where the authenticity of the employee is required.

Sampath Bank

Sampath Bank claims to be the second largest Commercial Bank in Sri Lanka, incorporated in 1986 and uses most modern technologies and 90% based on digital banking.

Sri Lanka Telecom Head Office recently introduced an entrance control system with Flap barriers  operating with the existing employee ID card , which is a 1K smart card. This facilitates monitoring of all in and out data of employees and also the visitors. This has been a successful project implemented by ABSL, giving valuable management information.

ABSL has been the supplier of Time and Attendance solution , in multiple locations across the Island connected to a one centralized database. ABSL implemented the first phase of the project in 2005 and since then more than 750 finger scanners have been installed and currently SLT has nearly 500 Finger scanners and Smart Card readers installed for both time and Attendance and Access Control requirement. Employees use a 1K smart card with personal data stored for attendance and access control along with the bio-metric verification , allowing two factor authentication.
